Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 29 May 08

Two important new functions added:

1.  Dynamic Lead Pages – As promised, the ability to use tokens for keyword targeting has been added.  This allows multiple keyword-specific landing pages to be created according to pre-established or user-unput data.

Watched a 9-minute video Phil had pre-recorded that demo’d the new feature.  The video also showed some new and future additions to the code, including the Google highlighting feature, optional lightbox type pop-up and a form-refill feature for previously visited pages.

2.  External Lead Pages  – Now, by simply adding some code from the ALG system to any of your existing (or future) pages, you can make those pages interactive with the ALG system just as if you had created them within ALG.

Phil also mentioned he was working on a “warm-up” feature that will allow for ALG members to interact with and warm-up (i.e. super-qualify) leads before selling them to clients.  More to follow on this.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 22 May 08

1.  Adopt A Niche – Phil and Gerry emphasized that “Adopting A Niche” from the list of eight currently available niches is now easier than ever.

All were encouraged to select a niche immediately, do the quick customization work on the template pages and get the project uploaded so it can be tested.

Once members have gotten one successful campaign running, it will be much easier to duplicate it over and over again.  So, full speed ahead!

2.  Lead Page Update – As discussed in earlier meetings, a drag and drop interface has now been incorporated into the lead page system.   Attendees viewed a five minute video on how this new feature works.

Not only does it allow for rapid, visual (no coding) editing of template pages, but it now includes the previously-discussed images library.

The library allows members access to both community images as well as their own, private images.  Now it’s as easy as selecting an image from a drop-down menu and then dragging it to where you want it on the page.

Phil did a desktop walkthrough of how to access and modify the Adopt A Niche templates.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 15 May 08

1.  Phil began the meeting by announcing the Adopt-A-Niche feature just added to ALG.  This feature was implemented in partnership with Mark Vurnum.

2.  Mark donated full templates, keyword lists and optin reports for eight different proven and profitable niches.  These came from his $67 a month Lead Gen Blueprint membership.

With these tested templates, there should be no reason why everybody can’t get profitable Lead Gen campaigns running immediately.

Phil took us step-by-step through the template selection and editing process within the ALG interface.

3.  Conversion tracking (via Google Optimizer) is now enabled through the ALG interface.

A demo of the Google Optimizer was done and attendees were shown where to get the tracking code from Google, where to put it in a thank you page within ALG and how to activate the tracking back on Google.

This code can be used to track any traffic source, and is especially recommended for all paid traffic being generated – i.e. Adwords.

Using this code will enable us to identify the keywords that convert and are profitable as well as the ones that cost us money but don’t convert.

By removing the non-converting, non-profitable keywords from our campaigns, we will only be paying for profitable keywords and thus, spending the bare minimum for each lead we generate.

3.  Members provided updates about their progress.

4.  Phil mentioned the community images library is coming soon.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 8 May 08

1.  Phil mentioned that he and Gerry are working with Mark Vurnum to incorporate the Lead Generation videos that Mark just launched into the ALG interface.

- In addition to the other help and tutorial options available, members will be able to access the most relevant videos to the step they are currently on, from whatever page they are on.

-  This will add another layer of convenience to the system.  Instead of having to go to Mark’s site to watch a video, members will be able to access the full instructional material at every step of the way from within the ALG interface.

2.  In addition to the Lead Gen II videos, Mark will also be providing a large number of niche-specific templates for the system.

3.  Phil is currently in negotiations with an ALG member who is interested in working with other members in dealing with clients and helping to close deals. More to follow.

4.  Phil offered a link to a valuable keyword research resource.  http://www.tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/  It’s really good, free keyword research software.

5.  Phil talked briefly about a lead “warm-up” or “drip” technique to be used with an autoresponder that would essentially increase the quality of the leads.  This is just one of many ways to adjust how you manage/monetize your campaigns.  More to follow.

6.  Phil described the process for those wanting to be ALG affiliates and presented the affiliate link to the salespage with free trial period.  From within the system, you can set the lead capture for a sales campaign as either client, lead or member.

7.  The prelaunch group will continue to meet privately as we have.  New members will have their own meetings, which all are invited to.

- New members will have access to a series of “quick start” webinars to get them up to speed as fast as possible.  Eventually, meetings and instruction at the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels will be made available.
