Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 26 Jun 08

1.  Watched a short video on the new ALG University site at www.University.AdvancedLeadGeneration.com.  A great deal of tutorial content in various forms will be consistently added over time.

2.  Watched second short video on the new lightbox feature Phil is adding to the ALG interface.  It allows for previewing the e-report within a pop-up window when the prospect clicks on a selected target, like an image of the e-report itself.

It also allows for one or more CPA or other offers to be shown within the thankyou page after they’ve opted in.  As mentioned at the last meeting, these offers can be daisy-chained together for as many subsequent offers or webpages/sites as a person wants, while the lead never leaves the ALG member’s page.

3.  Phil showed how his lead-related niche blog had been picked up and indexed by Google, despite having only relevant but scraped RSS feeds for content.  He also showed how he had incorporated an ALG opt-in form into his blog’s sidebar.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 19 Jun 08

The focus for this week was on the decision to add blogs (specifically Wordpress) to the ALG process.

The benefits gained by adding a blog to an existing lead capture page or by capturing the lead right from the blog itself, are great.  Three big ones are:

a.  Better landing page scores & lower PPC costs by having organized, relevant content beyond the landing page.

b.  Better natural search engine rankings and free organic traffic – i.e. low lead acquisition costs.

c.  The ability to have several related offers or subsequent offers all running at the same time on a single site.  In other words, multiple methods/layers of monetization.

Attendees watched a pre-recorded 15 minute video that showed how to integrate ALG forms into a blog.  Also how to integrate free RSS feeds to a blog to populate it with relevant content.

Phil mentioned that he and Kerry are revamping the lead warm-up/follow-up/scoring system.  It’s going to be better than what was previously planned.

ALG University is on the horizon and will be connected to ALG.  It wasn’t practical to integrate it fully into the ALG interface, but it will be running alongside ALG as a sister site.  However, accessing the training materials from within ALG will be as easy and transparent as was originally planned.  Materials to be added beginning shortly.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 12 Jun 08

Watched pre-recorded video demonstrating new advancements in dynamic pages – including integration with Aweber, daisy-chaining subsequent offers (like CPA) and partially prefilled forms for subsequent offers after a visitor has completed the first form.

Phil showed us how to add the javascript tracking code to our pages.  Also how to create our opt-in forms in Aweber with a hidden field called unique_ID for the ALG interface.

The Personalize option is now enabled in Page Manager and is an optional feature.

Phil briefly spoke about a lead scoring capability.  In order to provide a systematic method for determining lead quality, the ability to rate or score individual leads has been added and is based on the lead’s response to the “warm up” message series.

Phil said full tutorials of these and other additions are coming – via ALG University.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 5 Jun 08

Phil’s mike wasn’t working initially, so we all watched a pre-recorded video demonstrating two updates in progress.  They are:

1.  Drag and drop capability for images/graphics fom within the page manager. This includes access to the commmunity images repository as well as any member-uploaded files.

2.  The warm-up/follow-up feature for certain types of prospects is nearing completion.  It allows members to direct prospects to additional info and/or forms to input more data.  But, instead of them having to complete the whole form again, whatever data they’ve already provided will be pre-filled.  This is also an excellent feature for follow-up CPA offers.

These new updates are due to be in place by Monday.
