Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 25 Sep 08

Today’s meeting focused on an overview of the lead page functions, marketing products and services, and the inclusion of additional niches and/or clients.

The emphasis was on getting the most bang (profit) for our buck (effort) in terms of how we can potentially monetize the leads we generate.

Phil demo’d a Thank You page a lead might see after opting-in to an initial offer.  In this case, the Thank You page included an offer for an Amazon product, selected by Phil to correspond with the lead’s purpose for opting-in in the first place.

He also showed how the new Lead Messages button on the master control panel takes you to the Lead Campaigns Manager menu.  From there, if you click on one of the “messages” links, you can create and/or customize the message that will be sent from Aweber.

This message should be short and contain a link that takes them back to a personalized page. It can also be worded in such a way so as to constitute a double opt-in when they click through on it.

The personalized page can optionally have a form that is partially filled-in with the data they have provided so far (i.e. name and email) and with additional blank fields (i.e. address and phone) they can complete to receive more info.  Of course, the more steps they take and the more info they provide increases the value of the lead.  That page can also offer additional products and include checkboxes (up to 10) for additional related sub-niches they might be interested in.

There are many ways to increase the lifetime value of a lead.  This was only an introduction to the possibilities available with ALG.  More to follow.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 18 Sep 08

Today’s meeting focused on managing clients and leads, as well as various lead assignment options.

1.  The Client Leads Manager menu now shows the number of clients AND niches associated (and available for selection) with a particular lead.

The Lead Status Assignment feature allows for setting various statuses to a lead, provides confirmation of the action and then allows for invoicing, if indicated.

2.  Speed PPC functionality is being incorporated into ALG. This will allow for dynamic pages to be displayed, with up to three variables passed to them, based on specific parameters, normally keywords.  This will allow for keyword-specific customization of each landing page, while increasing PPC quality scores and simultaneously lowering the price per click for ALG members using Adwords.

3.  The meeting concluded with a quick update report from the members in attendance and some brief Q & A.

Phil revisited the new niche capabilities within the Niche Manager menu via slides and Q & A.

This function allows distribution of leads to more than one client as well as up to 10 addditional niches/subniches per lead capture form.

He also showed how to include and label the additional niche/subniche checkboxes in our forms and described how the respective databases (Aweber and ALG) aggregate the data.  Also, what our options are regarding segregating “List 2″ (as described in the last meeting) and emailing subsequent offers/follow-ups to the leads.

Prelaunch Webinar Minutes – 4 Sep 08

Phil presented a slideshow that covered the following:

1.  There are four new niche page types now available – About Us, More Info, Article and Product/Offer.  Each is designed to compliment and augment the particular type of campaign a member is running.  These pages are optional and can be selected in addition to the default pages.

The More Info page allows up to five additional niche or product/service check boxes.

The subsequent “secondary lead” created by a lead checking one or more boxes is captured in a new database called “list 2″.  When this action occurs, the lead is then automatically removed from the original list.

The leads on list 2 can then be segregated by niche, product or service by way of a filter built in to the ALG interface.  This way, list 2 can be comprised of various leads requesting different information, but can be easily sorted via the filter and individually emailed the specific information they have requested.

In short, the list 2 function allows leads to be collected into a single database (or list) and then sorted/managed to the sub-niche level via the ALG filter.  In other words, one versus many lists.

The About Us, Article and Product Offer pages allow for more content (and page/site indexing), additional monetization methods and of course, more info about the ALG member.

2.  Replicated page creation is now available with unlimited tokens and unlimited keyword specific pages.  For PPC advertisers, this is a huge benefit that allows for top quality scores and lower click bids/costs.

3.  Phil has incorporated a Google Adwords API that allows direct uploading of Adwords campaign data from ALG.  This will allow for fast transfer to Adwords of the individual links to custom, keyword-specific pages that correlate to the keywords being bid on.
