Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 17 Dec 09

Agenda Items:

1.  Forms

2.  Aweber Forms Tool

3.  ALG => Aweber

4.  What’s Coming Next / Phil’s Rant & To-Do List / Thanks

1. Forms - Forms Manager: will support any autoresponder, it can be uploaded with unlimited forms, the forms can be used on multiple blogs/pages/posts and it automatically configures the form code to integrate with ALG.

Showed the Autoresponder Forms Manager screenshot with a list of existing forms.  Also showed a screenshot of the autoresponder form edit interface and described how to use it.

2.  Aweber Forms Tool - Showed Aweber’s new interface and took us step-by-step through creating a form and getting the code.

The best way to proceed is to create the list name first, and then create the list of custom fields.  Especially the following: unique_id and niche1 through niche3, or however many subniches you think you’ll need.

After that, create the form.  Tip: create the hidden fields in Aweber, but don’t actually add them to the form. That code will be added automatically within ALG.

The custom and/or hidden fields must first exist within Aweber for the whole process to work properly.

Just DON’T actually add them to the form itself within Aweber’s interface.  Phil’s custom programming takes care of that part of it within ALG.

3.  ALG => Aweber - Sooo, that also means that Aweber form code is now copied and pasted into ALG and NOT the WP Forms Manager plugin interface!

Phil showed the new “Options” tab within the Blog Manager window and demo’d how it works.

Essentially, after you select all the choices within all the tabs, you then click onto the Options tab.

Within that tab there are several tick-boxes correlating to each of the tabs within the interface.

Simply tick the boxes of each of the tabs you made changes to and then click the “Process” button on the top right of the page.

It will automatically update and upload all the changes you made – plugins, content, blog settings, etc.

Phil showed a finished lead capture page using the new Aweber forms tool as well as the optional audio opt-in confirmation page inside an iFrame.

Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 10 Dec 09

Agenda Items:

1.  ALG Blog Wizard

2.  What’s Coming Next / Phil’s Rant & To-Do List / Thanks

1. ALG Blog Wizard – This new feature is almost ready.  It is a sub-functionality within the Blog Manager.

The Blog Wizard affects the layout and functionality of individual blogs, while the Blog Manager has control of various functions across ALL blogs in the system.

A prime example might be the standard ALG plugins installed across multiple blogs within the Blog Manager.

Showed screenshots of the entire Blog Manager/Wizard interface.  It includes tabs for Blog, Plugins, Pages, Categories, Articles, Forms and Links.

Phil went over what each tab does in depth, adding to the info he covered in previous meetings.

He explained that after a member selects all the options in all the tabs for a specific blog within the Wizard, the next and final step is to click the “Process” button on the top right, which will automatically upload content, plugins, etc., and essentially perform all the indicated modifications in all the affected tabs in a one-click fashion.

Eventually, all blogging functions – from installing a blog initially, to adding opt-in forms, text and banner ads, content, videos, etc. – will be possible from here.

For the moment, only existing blogs can be “imported” into the system.

Simply setup your blog as usual (Fantastico, 3rd party installer or manually) and then add it to the ALG Blog Manager via the easy to follow layout.

Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 3 Dec 09

Agenda Items:

1.  Personal System Maintenance – Alert

2.  Lead Profit Potential

3.  ALG Blog Manager

4.  What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / To Do: / Thanks

1. Personal System Maintenance – Phil spent the last three entire days working on ridding his PC of some nasty virus/malware.

So, he decided to make the majority of this webinar about how he managed to be successful and what he now recommends.

He said if it happens to you, don’t panic.  And don’t be surprised if your current protection software has missed a bunch of stuff like his McAfee did.

He spent a considerable amount of time researching a wide variety of anti-virus/spyware/malware programs and came up with a winning combination.

The two programs he used successfully in concert were SpyWare Sweeper.com (paid, free trial) and Malware Bytes.org (free).

He said that together, they found and fixed things that the other missed.

It’s pretty much expected these days that it will take more than one piece of software to completely clean your PC and these two together seem to work quite well.

2.  Lead Profit Potential – Phil showed how the Leads2Profit folks are now collecting home improvement leads and selling them to companies like Home Depot, Sears and Champion for as much as $130 per lead.

The ALG interface is working as it should and is ready for even more of a load to be placed upon it…

3.  ALG Blog Manager – Showed a screenshot of the Blog Management Wizard interface.  It includes tabs for Blog, Plugins, Pages, Articles and Forms.

Briefly went over what each tab does.

Eventually, all blogging functions – from installing a blog initially, to adding opt-in forms, text and banner ads, content, videos, etc. – will be possible from here.

For now, only existing blogs can be “imported” into the system.
