1. The “Plan” – Client acquisition steps:
A. Enter Target Clients - develop and enter into the ALG system a list of clients you want to try trial leads with.
B. Mail Postcards or Letters to Target Clients - to introduce yourself and your biz.
C. Generate Trial Leads - generate some leads in the niche to send as trials.
D. Client Receives Emails - trial leads are linked to the personalized client page on the client blog.
2. WP Wizard - Phil briefly went over the improvements to the wizard within the Blog Information screen.
He added a section called Blog Settings that allows entries for header, footer and ecover graphics files. This is just one more thing we can do within ALG for any of our blogs.
3. Blog Manager – Pages - Phil went over the changes and look of personalized client pages.
He displayed the tokens that are available for in-depth personalization and showed how the blog pages are displayed both in the wizard and in the seperate pages view.
He showed the Page Details screen and explained how to establish, maintain, clone or edit templates.
He also showed what a pre-populated form might look like now that we have that functionality and also went over and displayed the various template options, regarding display, personalization and navigation.
Phil went over the custom ALG plugins again, briefly describing what each one does:
A. WP-API - This is the most important plugin of them all, as it allows for remote access and publishing to our blogs via the ALG control panel.
B. WP-Personalize - Personalizes blog pages and posts.
C. WP-Validate - Main data capture plugin, provides form validation and blog connection to Aweber and ALG.
D. WP-Pagelinks - Controls which tabs / pages are displayed on specific blog pages.
E. WP-FormsManager - Handles form control and page display.
4. What’s Next, Phil’s Rant, Thanks -
A. What’s Next - Phil again reminded members to have two domains for their Lead Gen business. One for the lead capture site and the other for the client access to the leads.
Phil will meet with all members one-on-one in the next few days and he’ll help us get the final pieces in place.
If you haven’t already, research and enter into ALG a list of potential clients you want to try trial leads with.
Generate postcards or letters to mail to potential clients. You can use the built-in list export function in ALG to prepare the list for a printing service, if you like.
Finally, begin to generate the leads via PPC, so you can offer the potential clients a few to try your service.
B. Phil’s Rant - no rant today.
C. Thanks - as always, thanks for attending and for sticking with it! We’re on the brink of huge success!
