3. Plugin Configuration

4. ALG Lead Generation Blog Update
5. What’s Next / Phil’s Rant

1. ALG Plugins Overview – Phil went over the five (soon to be six) WP plugins he designed.

Each will be officially named with a prefix of WP. So, the current five are:

A. WP-Forms Manager – Provides interface where users can manage the various interchangeable forms on capture pages, blogs, etc.

B. WP-Validate – The new lead capture field validation plugin that excludes javascript.

C. WP-Page Link Manager – Provides various page appearance controls.

D. WP-PDF – Provides custom, personalized, on-the-fly PDF creation from existing blog content.   This is especially powerful now that Aweber’s policy has changed, allowing a direct download link to a PDF on optin confirmation.

E. WP-Remote Leads RSS – Provides a way to distribute leads to clients via RSS, rather than email.

The sixth plugin (coming soon) will be WP-Personalize, which allows users to personalize pages and posts in their lead blogs.

Very soon Phil will make these plugins available through the Wordpress plugins library.  To activate and use them, bloggers will have to register with ALG (much like the MaxBlogPress biz model).  Further details to follow.

2. Plugin Installation / Updating – Plugins are now available through the ALG members blog.  Zip files, release notes, and tutorials on how to use them will all be accessible there.

3. Plugin Configuration – Phil demo’d the interface screens and configuration tips for the WP-Validate and WP-PDF plugins.

4. ALG Lead Generation Blog Update – The blog will now include the member resources like ALG training, PPC training, Lead Gen videos, etc. that used to be in ALG University.

This site will now have both public and private, members-only sections.

5. What’s Next / Phil’s Rant – Thank You page updates:  New features to include option to provide identified clients count (IDCC).

This feature automatically lists the applicable clients for each individual lead, based on the relevant fields (like zip) they complete in the capture form.

It will also provide option to email potential clients trial leads as well as an ad rotating function that displays ads relevant to the lead’s selections, keywords, etc.

To Do: Identify and enter enough clients into ALG so that the ID Client Count feature will work. Also, identify appropriate affiliate opportunities to be used/rotated on your Thank You pages.   Finally, create blog content that can be compiled on-the-fly into a custom PDF.
