Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 10 Dec 09

Agenda Items:

1.  ALG Blog Wizard

2.  What’s Coming Next / Phil’s Rant & To-Do List / Thanks

1. ALG Blog Wizard – This new feature is almost ready.  It is a sub-functionality within the Blog Manager.

The Blog Wizard affects the layout and functionality of individual blogs, while the Blog Manager has control of various functions across ALL blogs in the system.

A prime example might be the standard ALG plugins installed across multiple blogs within the Blog Manager.

Showed screenshots of the entire Blog Manager/Wizard interface.  It includes tabs for Blog, Plugins, Pages, Categories, Articles, Forms and Links.

Phil went over what each tab does in depth, adding to the info he covered in previous meetings.

He explained that after a member selects all the options in all the tabs for a specific blog within the Wizard, the next and final step is to click the “Process” button on the top right, which will automatically upload content, plugins, etc., and essentially perform all the indicated modifications in all the affected tabs in a one-click fashion.

Eventually, all blogging functions – from installing a blog initially, to adding opt-in forms, text and banner ads, content, videos, etc. – will be possible from here.

For the moment, only existing blogs can be “imported” into the system.

Simply setup your blog as usual (Fantastico, 3rd party installer or manually) and then add it to the ALG Blog Manager via the easy to follow layout.

2. What’s Coming Next / Phil’s Rant & To-Do List / Thanks -

Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 3 Dec 09

Agenda Items:

1.  Personal System Maintenance – Alert

2.  Lead Profit Potential

3.  ALG Blog Manager

4.  What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / To Do: / Thanks

1. Personal System Maintenance – Phil spent the last three entire days working on ridding his PC of some nasty virus/malware.

So, he decided to make the majority of this webinar about how he managed to be successful and what he now recommends.

He said if it happens to you, don’t panic.  And don’t be surprised if your current protection software has missed a bunch of stuff like his McAfee did.

He spent a considerable amount of time researching a wide variety of anti-virus/spyware/malware programs and came up with a winning combination.

The two programs he used successfully in concert were SpyWare Sweeper.com (paid, free trial) and Malware Bytes.org (free).

He said that together, they found and fixed things that the other missed.

It’s pretty much expected these days that it will take more than one piece of software to completely clean your PC and these two together seem to work quite well.

2.  Lead Profit Potential – Phil showed how the Leads2Profit folks are now collecting home improvement leads and selling them to companies like Home Depot, Sears and Champion for as much as $130 per lead.

The ALG interface is working as it should and is ready for even more of a load to be placed upon it…

3.  ALG Blog Manager – Showed a screenshot of the Blog Management Wizard interface.  It includes tabs for Blog, Plugins, Pages, Articles and Forms.

Briefly went over what each tab does.

Eventually, all blogging functions – from installing a blog initially, to adding opt-in forms, text and banner ads, content, videos, etc. – will be possible from here.

For now, only existing blogs can be “imported” into the system.

Simply setup your blog as usual (Fantastico, 3rd Party Installer or Manually) and then add it to the ALG Blog Manager via the easy to follow layout.

2. What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / Thanks –

Short meeting today.  Till next time…

Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 12 Nov 09

Agenda Items:

1.  Setting Up Client Site

2.  Installing WP Client Plugin

3.  Client Email Message Sequence

4.  Blog Wizard Status

5.  What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / Thanks

1.  Setting Up Client Site
– The steps involved in setting up your client site, if you don’t already have one, are:

1A. Buy an appropriate, keyword-rich domain name. Based on your business model and preferences, you can set up the site as either a generic “business leads” type of site, or a niche-specific site, such as dental leads.

Also, you may want to set up multiple client sites, like a single generic site as well as multiple niche-specific sites, since they all feed into the ALG platform.

1B. Install Wordpress. Of course, you must have hosting first, and you sure don’t want to use a platform that isn’t on YOUR host.  In other words, NO using Wordpress.com – only use that for linking to the blog you’ve built on your self-hosted Wordpress.org blog.

1C. Pick a theme. There are thousands of free themes available on the web as well as thousands of paid themes.  The choice is yours.  Just keep in mind that you usually get what you pay for…

1D. Install ALG plugins. In order for your remote Wordpress blog to integrate with both ALG and Aweber, these plugins are essential.  They are always available on the ALG member’s blog.

If you already have your client site setup on ALG, you can move it to your host.  Simply copy the html files and place them as “pages” within a fresh Wordpress install.

Phil also said it would probably be best (but not necessary) if we each now move our dental blogs, as well. Too many of the same type of site hosted on a single IP may be detrimental to our SEO efforts.

2. Installing WP Client Plugin – The three main features included in this plugin are:

2A. Displays the Client Application. It helps you get your client site up and running quickly on any Wordpress blog.

2B.  Flexibility. It allows you to manage your content like any other site.

2C.  Capture. It’s configurable to capture client’s leads.  He showed the various necessary pages he added to the plugin – Login, Client Login, Wrong Password and Activate.  This plugin automatically creates these pages.

3. Client Email Message Sequence – Went over the four-stage trial lead email sequence.

3A. Lead Capture – delivered to all clients in niche designated as “trial”.

3B. Client Email – client receives message with link to activate account, pointing to the client domain in your profile.

3C. Client Activate – if your client clicks the activation link, both you and they receive confirmation messages.

3D. Lead Delivery – “New Lead” messages are delivered until the last trial lead has been delivered.

Showed screenshots of the three critical settings for proper management of trial leads within the Client Profile menu in ALG:

I.  Client Login – Set this dropdown to “No”.  Upon client activation, it will change automatically to “Yes”.

II.  Client Pay Type – set this to “Trial”, of course.

III.  # Trial Leads - type in the number of trial leads you are offering.

4. Blog Wizard Status – Still working on this feature. When finished, members will be able to login to all of their connected blogs, manage content, etc. from the central ALG console.

5. What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / Thanks -

What’s Next: Blog Setup Wizard and Forms Manager are coming soon!

Leads2Profits is now up and running with campaigns in pool building, windows and housing niches and selling them to big names like Sears.  Sears is also receiving leads via the XML
delivery method. These campaigns will really test the functionality and robustness of the ALG platform.

Phil’s Rant / To Do:

5A. Update your five client trial lead email messages (and after-hours phone message script, if you plan on using one).

5B. Choose and buy a domain name.  Try using NameBoy.com to create a good name and Namecheap.com to register it.

5C. Create a new Wordpress blog on your host to be your main client site and begin to flesh it out with content.

Let’s go, people!  Everything is more than ready enough for you to get your Lead Gen business up and running.  Just focus on what you need to do and do it every day.

Thanks: As always, thanks a bunch for attending and for your continued support!

Pre-Launch Webinar Minutes – 5 Nov 09

Agenda Items:

1.  Setting Up For Trial Leads
2.  WP Client Plugin
3.  Client Email Message Sequence

4.  What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / Thanks

1.  Setting Up For Trial Leads – Phil began by again displaying the flowchart he created that shows how the lead capture process works.

He reminded the group that to configure the system for trial leads, four areas must be properly set within ALG: Niche Profile, Client Profile, Blog Profile and Lead Rules Profile.

2. WP Client Plugin – The three main features included in this plugin are:

A. It Displays the Client Application.  It helps you get your client site up and running quickly on any Wordpress blog.

Showed screenshot of the ALG buttons clients will see within a WP blog with the plugin activated and configured.

B. Flexibility. It allows you to manage your content like any other site.

C.  Capture.  It’s configurable to capture client’s leads.

He showed the various necessary pages he added to the plugin – login, logout, wrong password.  This plugin is going to be enormously valuable.

3. Client Email Message Sequence – Went over the four-stage trial lead email sequence.

A. Lead Capture – delivered to all clients in niche designated as “trial”.

B. Client Email – client receives message with link to activate account, pointing to the client domain in your profile.

C. Client Activate – if your client clicks the activation link, both you and they receive confirmation messages.

III.  # Trial Leads – type in the number of trial leads you are offering.

Showed screenshot samples of initial and confirmation client email messages.

4. What’s Next / Phil’s Rant / Thanks – Soon we’ll have a blog setup wizard that’ll take us through setting up new ALG-synchronized lead pages and capture forms on our blogs in step-by-step manner.

To Do: Update our five client trial lead email messages (and after-hours phone message script?) and create a new blog (no longer hosted on Phil’s/the ALG server) to be our main client
site.

Thanks as always for attending and for your continued support!
